Trust What is True for You
There is NO REASON I shouldn’t be able to do this! Sound familiar?
We spend so much time trying to be what we “should” be, but when you’re able to realize what really works for you, how you really are, it opens up your world. It allows you to flow more and fight less.
I’ve been struggling with putting formal meditation time in lately. It’s one of those things that at first I don’t notice I’ve been missing, but then when stress builds up and I get anxious I realize I have fallen out of my practice.
This “shouldn’t” be an issue for me. I know how to meditate. I teach meditation. And I help women all week long put healthy habits into their lives. This “shouldn’t” be an issue...and yet it is, because I’m a person who is wired to do better with some guidance.
This has proved to be true over and over throughout my life. So I’m listening to my favorite mediation teacher Hannah Leatherbury on Insight Timer this morning and remembering that working with what is true for me is far easier than working against it.
